Pride of Longbridge Rally
12 April 2014
At the Austin &
Longbridge Federation (ALF) AGM it was agreed that
Membership will start from the 1 Jan 2014 and would cover
the period to 31 December 2015. The cost for this period
would be £10 for Clubs and £5 for an individual.
We are encouraging you to join us for the two year period so that ALF can have a robust membership to support the heritage of Longbridge and plan for 2015 - the tenth anniversary of the collapse of MG Rover Group and the 110th anniversary of the Austin Motor Company's foundation. Pride of Longbridge has grown over the years and still has an informal friendly atmosphere - to take this forward we need the support of clubs and individuals.
ALF is acutely aware that although the POL rally is a great success, having more older Longbridge products at the event would improve the enjoyment of the day for many visitors. So any Club that joins ALF now will be able to have a Club stand and area to display members cars at POL for free. So why not put it in the Club calendar, as the first major event for 2014.
Please bear in mind, that the event is an annual celebration of vehicles designed and built at Longbridge. These vehicles, their owners and clubs, have absolute priority. We welcome other products, notably from Cowley and Abingdon, with genuine Longbridge connections. Only clubs for the following marques, Austin - Austin Healey - Morris - Wolseley - Riley - Vanden Plas - MGs and the following Rovers City - Mini - Metro - 100 - 200/400/600/800 - 25/45 and 75. will be given this facility.

Message to all Ex-employees
When Longbridge closed in
April 2005, for employees this devastating event was like a
family bereavement. Colleagues lost contact with workmates
they had known for many years. The Pride of Longbridge
Rally will take place on the 12 April 2014 in Cofton Park
