West Works
(Watch a Video at the end of the article)

Work on building the West Works that fronts on to the A38 Bristol Road was started in December 1916 and was finished in June 1917. It was paid for by the Government in the first World War to produce mainly shells. Therefore it was one of the oldest building on the Longbridge Site. Work on demolishing the site started in June 2006 and was completed by Christmas 2006.
